The Colombian Beef Empanada is prepared with crispy corn our dough, stued with with a delicious mix of beef and potatoes, traditionally molded into a half-moon shape. It is the perfect companion for a hearty breakfast, as a snack or to enjoy at any time of the day!

INGREDIENTS

CRUST

Yellow corn, salt, tapioca starch, beef base (same as above), seasoning mix (dehydrated vegetables [garlic and onions], salt, monosodimn glutamate, spices, herbs and tricalcium phosphate [to prevent caking]), spice, flavoring and coloring (same as above)Contiene: Leche, trigo, soya, huevos.

FILLING

Cooked potatoes (cooked with water), beef, tomatoes, onions, coriander, bell peppers, salt, soy-bean oil (soybean oil with TBHQ and citric added to help protect flavor, dimethylpolysiloxane an anti-foaming agent added), beef base (salt, rendered beef fat and hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil, maltodextrin [from corn], sugar, hydrolyzed soy protein, dextrose, caramel color, monosodimn glutamate, natural flavoring, onion powder, garlic, spices, disodiwn inosinate, and disodium guanylate), garlic, spice, flavoring and coloring (cumin, corn starch, rice starch, pepper, salt, natural garlic, natural color [achiote], dehydrated garlic, turmeric, tartazine FD&C yellow No.5, essential oil of garlic).

BAKED:
Defrost completely the day before (cooler temperature), preheat oven to 450° and bake between 28-30 minutes, or till it reaches an internal temperature 160°. *Please note that time may vary depending on the type of oven, when quality of product is reached please record your final time and temperature for further use in your operations.
