VENEZUELAN BRAND GROUND BEEF PASTEL
The Venezuelan Ground Beef Empanada is prepared with crispy corn our dough, stued with beef, tomatoes, sautéed onions, and traditionally molded into a half-moon shape. It is the perfect companion to any meal of the day or as a snack all by itself.
INGREDIENTS
CRUST
Yellow com, sugar, tapioca starch, salt, chicken base (salt, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, monosodium glutamate, yeast, extract, corn starch, maltodextrin [from com], hydrolyzed soy protein, dried chicken meat, chicken fat, sugar, turmeric, lecithin [emulsifier], caramel color, natural flavoring, prsley flakes, garlic powder, disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate).
FILLING
Beef, bell peppers, onions, ketchup (tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes, distilled vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, corn, salt, spice, onion powder, natural flavoring), soybean oil (soybean oil with TBHQ and citric added to help protect flavor, dimethylpolysiloxane an antifoaming agent added), garlic, salt, beef base (same as above), spices, soy sauce (water, wheat, soybeans, salt, sodium benzoate, less than 1% as preservative), wine (seasoned with salt, contains sulfites as preservative).
BAKING INSTRUCTION

FRIED: Thaw before baking. Pre-heat oven to 450ºF and bake between 8-10 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF or above.

RAW: Keep frozen until ready to cook. Pre-heat oil to 350°F. Cook for a minimum of 8 minutes or until reach 165°F is obtained.
